Police Blotter: Auto Thieves and Burglars Keep Busy

Criminals have been keeping busy this holiday season, parting you with your property. Here's a list of reported crimes in Brentwood from LAPD officer Phillip Enbody.

Auto Theft

On Dec. 18, a purple 2003 Lexus ES300 was stolen at approximately 1 p.m. from the 11800 block of Wilshire Boulevard.

A black 2011 Honda Fit was stolen from the 11839 block of Goshen Avenue sometime between 3-11 a.m. on Saturday, Christmas Eve.

Burglary, Theft From a Vehicle

Cash and a purse were stolen from a vehicle parked on the 11700 block of Sunset Boulevard between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 18.

Sometime between 8 p.m. on Dec. 18 and 10:45 a.m. on Dec. 19, a vehice window was found smashed and cash, an iPod and sunglasses were stolen. The vehicle was parked in a carport on the 11600 block of Goshen Avenue.

A purse was stolen from a vehicle parked in a carport on the 11700 block of Goshen Avenue between 8 p.m. on Dec. 18 and 6:55 a.m. on Dec. 19. The suspect smashed a window to gain access.

A vehicle window was smashed, cash and a purse taken at the 11800 block of Wilshire Boulevard between 10:30-11:40 a.m. on Dec. 20.

A vehicle parked in a carport on the 1100 block of S. Barrington Avenue had a window smashed and an iPod and clothes stolen from it between 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 21 and 7 a.m. on Dec. 22.

A vehicle parked in an alley on the 1100 block of Wellesley Avenue had a window smashed and an iPod stolen from it between 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 21 and 10 a.m. on Dec. 22.

A laptop was stolen from a vehicle parked in a carport on the 11800 block of Goshen Avenue between 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 21 and 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 22. The suspect smashed a window to gain entry.

Tools were stolen from a vehicle, the suspect pried a door open, parked on the street of the 800 block of N. Bundy Drive at about 8 a.m.

Theft From Home of Business

Grand Theft (property valued at $950 or more)

Jewelry was stolen on the 500 block of S. Barrington Avenue at about 11 a.m. on Dec. 20.

Cash and a wallet were taken from the 11900 block of San Vicente Boulevard at 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 23.

Petty Theft (property valued at less than $950)

A bicycle was stolen from the 11900 block of Montana Avenue at 9:45 a.m. on Dec. 22. 

Vandalism 

A vehicle parked on the 11700 block of Goshen Avenue had its windows smashed at approximately 5 p.m. on Dec. 18.
