Jorge, sorry I'm only now responding to your request, I didn't see it here. The fact of the matter is that the unemployment rate for post-9/11 veterans is 3 percent higher than that of civilians. The market is tough for vets and you have to make yourself marketable. Where will you be living when you EAS?

hello my name is Jorge Leon I came across your card from a friend and went to your website n read your blog/questionnaire im a cpl in the marines i am looking forward to getting out within a year but i have no concrete plan as to what opportunities i will have when i get out. I am a satellite communications operator and have been on one deployment to Afghanistan. to stay in this field and make good money i would have to deploy as a civilian which means leaving my wife and my family again. I read your opinions on how marines struggle with deployments and transitioning back into civilian life and im just wondering if u have any advice. thanks for the support.
