(Video) Diesel, A Bookstore Honors Banned Book Week With Virtual Read-Out

The Brentwood shop's sister location in Oakland chooses a section from "The Grapes of Wrath" to mark the American Library Association's commemoration of controversial literature.

Ask any academic and he or she will tell you that lessons can be drawn from books containing even the most offensive language. The American Library Association's "Banned Books Week" is an homage to the literature that has offended the sensibilities of society at one point or another.

Oakland's Diesel, A Bookstore (a sister shop to the ) posted a YouTube video of an employee reading a few lines from John Steinbeck's 1939 novel, The Grapes of Wrath.
