Densest Population in the Country?

Census data reveals the most densely populated urban center in the U.S.

If you’ve ever cursed your steering wheel while stuck in Los Angeles rush-hour traffic, then you probably suspect a lot of people live here.

L.A., Long Beach and Anaheim account for the densest population in the country, with some 7,000 people for every square mile in that zone, according to 2010 census data, as reported by KPBS.

The "Mapping L.A." project by the Los Angeles Times reveals that Brentwood had a population of 33,312 in 2008 and had among one of the lowest densities in the city and county.
