Big Rig Crash Stops 405 Traffic South of 101

A big rig truck is involved in a multi-vehicle collision that stops 405 traffic in its tracks.

At least one person was injured early Thursday evening in a multi-vehicle crash involving a big rig that backed up traffic on the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway, City News Service reported.

The crash was reported at 5:25 p.m. just south of the eastbound Ventura (101) Freeway connector in Sherman Oaks, Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department told City News Service.

The wreck initially blocked all northbound lanes, but the carpool lane was later opened, ABC7 reported on Twitter.

According to the California Highway Patrol, four lanes will be closed until 10 p.m., CBSLA reported.
