Munchie Machine Makes Mouthwatering Morsels

"Gooey perfection" arrives in the form of this food truck's maple bacon s'more.

For Brentwood born and raised Rob Grier, the food truck business was an affordable way to start a restaurant. Grier is a lifelong foodie—he guesses he was probably 16 when he got his first restaurant job while attending Palisades High School.

Before purchasing his Scooby Doo-inspired, neighborhood cafe on wheels, the Munchie Machine, Grier trained franchise owners of the Jody Maroni's restaurant chain.

"After opening 6, 7, 10 Jody Maroni's restaurants, I was ready to go open my own thing," Grier said.

One of his hottest selling items is the maple bacon s'more, a toothsome stack of graham cracker, chocolate, marshmallow and crisp breakfast pork that Grier sears with a small blow torch.

"We get kids, people of all ages, who like to take pictures of us as we do our s'mores," said Grier. "There's a couple YouTube videos of us doing s'mores in action."
