Brentwood Country Mart Patrons Surprised With Tango Treat
A flash mob group formed by actress and author Jamie Rose gave Brentwood Country Mart patrons a surprise tango performance last week. The event was meant to kick off a reading and signing of Rose's first book.
We love flash-mobbery here at Brentwood Patch. It's the civilized equivalent of jumping out and yelling "boo" at an unsuspecting victim troddling by. A fash mob is a group of people who, at a agreed upon time and place, will carry out some action and completely surprise those around them.
Recently, via a flash mob song and dance routine of "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You."
On Sunday, actress Jamie Rose coordinated a tango flash mob at the Brentwood Country Mart to kick off the signing of her first book, "Shut Up and Dance!: The Joy of Letting Go of the Lead—On the Dance Floor and Off."

Several pairs of dancers got up from their tables and started to tango, just like that. You can see spectator reactions to the surprise performance in Rose's YouTube video.
The event was followed by a reading and book signing at in Brentwood.
