I believe people can make a difference in their communities. That is why I love local news. I care about what affects the people in thier real lives, every day. 
I have been a reporter for the Malibu Times and the editor at Westside Today, publishing six magazines covering Malibu, Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, Bel Air and Beverly Hills. Currently, I am a freelance journalist. I am the Multi-Family Dwelling alternate on the Brentwood Community Council. I admire our neighborhood councilmembers throughout Los Angeles so much for their dedication to preserving the quality of life in our communities and the long, thankless hours these volunteers spend doing just that.   I live on the Westside of Los Angeles with my two golden retrievers. I am actively involved in my community and I love being here. I was married for 27 years to William C. Talbot (deceased) and I have one daughter, Eliza, 29, who lives in Hawaii, who just finished law school at the University of Hawaii and received her Masters in Public Administration (read Proud Mom!).
