Photos: BCC Monthly Meeting Includes All Ages

If it's the first Tuesday evening of the month, it must be the Brentwood Community Council meeting at the Kaufman Branch Library. This week's meeting featured pupils from St. Martin of Tours.

Students from third grade gaveled the Brentwood Community Council  meeting open and then led the assembled in the Pledge of Allegiance Tuesday evening; City Councilwoman  Jan Perry addressed the meeting; Joaquin Macias of Councilman's office reported on traffic issues; and public commenters included  (running for Miss California USA 2012) and plastic bag ban advocate Andy Shrader.
