Whole Foods market in Brentwood is donating five percent off all net sales today toward Giving Spirit, a Los Angeles-based non-profit organization, which helps volunteers reach out to local individuals and families who are homeless.
Money from the event will go toward the assembly of survival kits filled with daily necessities and given out to homeless individuals, according to organizers.
The kits are specifically designed to help people experiencing homelessness survive their harsh realities, according to the organization's website.
