Brenda Torres and Myangel Johnson of the University High School girls basketball team have been selected to the All-Western League Second Team by the league coaches.
Torres, one of the Wildcats' captains, averaged 8.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. She scored a season-high 17 points in a 39-38 loss to Westchester.
Johnson averaged 11.1 points and 9.5 rebounds per game for University, which tied for fourth in league with Westchester and lost to Washington in the first round of the City Section Division I playoffs.
