Three Brentwood School Teams Ranked in Section Polls

The Eagles' baseball, tennis and volleyball teams are among the Top 10 in their divisions.

The CIF-Southern Section has released its weekly polls and is ranked in three sports. 

In baseball, the Eagles are ranked No. 9 in Division 6, one spot in front of Southlands Christian. Ahead of them are Oxford, Pasadena Poly, Capistrano Valley Christian, Lancaster Desert Christian, Bishop Union, Vasquez, Boron and Viewpoint.

Coach 's club improved to 8-1 overall on Wednesday with a 2-1 nonleague win over Pacifica Christian. The Eagles return to Delphic League play next Tuesday at Sierra Canyon.

In boys tennis, the Eagles are ranked No. 8 in Division 1, behind Irvine University, Corona del Mar, Palos Verdes, Harvard-Westlake, Woodbridge and Santa Barbara. Rounding out the Top 10 are San Marino at No. 9 and Northwood.

Brentwood improved to 11-1 overall with Wednesday's 18-0 rout over California Academy of Math & Science . The Eagles are undefeated in the and have won 11 straight dual matches since their season-opening loss at Havard-Westlake.

Coach 's squad wraps up league play at Campbell Hall next Tuesday, then heads north for the before returning to host the prelims and finals May 3 and 5. 

In boys volleyball, Brentwood is ranked No. 6 in Division 4. Coach 's varsity squad is 9-2 overall and trails Santa Monica, San Gabriel, Windward, El Rancho and Yucaipa. Rounding out the Top 10 are Cathedral at No. 7, Pasadena La Salle at No. 8, Bishop Montgomery at No. 9 and Beverly Hills.

The Eagles are second behind Windward in the Alpha League but have won three straight matches since their four-set loss to the Wildcats. The teams meet again next Tuesday at Brentwood.
