Update--Northern Trust Open Day 4: Final Round

Mickelson holds on to the lead going into the final day of the Northern Trust Open.

UPDATE 5:11 p.m.: After a dramatic 18th hole, which tied Phil Mickelson, Bill Haas and Keegan Bradley, the three golfers went into a sudden death play-off at the 10th hole. That's where Haas came out the on top! He not only went home with a trophy, but over $1 million in winnings! Photos from the 18th hole and Haas in the post-round interview room are in the photo gallery.

Good night and farewell from the Riviera!

UPDATE 3:22 p.m.: On the 18th hole watching Pat Perez, Aaron Baddeley and Jonathan Byrd putt! Pat Perez is in his Sunday orange too! Up next: Mickelson, Bradley and Molder.

UPDATE 2:02 p.m.: We heard a rumor that there was a group of young ladies who were dressed in Sunday orange, following Fowler. We found them by the eighth hole and saw their shirts spell out R-I-C-K-I-E! We just uploaded a far away photo of them...you'll have to wait for the video piece to really see them.

UPDATE: 1:29 p.m.: Caught up with Mickelson at the eight hole and then waited to watch Murrieta's Rickie Fowler putt in the group following Phil. Fowler's got quite a group of fans, all wearing their "Sunday orange" to match the golfer. Fowler is currently tied for 67th. Mickelson ... tied for second.

UPDATE 12:20 p.m. About to leave the media tent to try to catch some shots of Mickelson at the eighth hole. Hopefully we'll get a good spot. His gallery is pretty intense!

Phil Mickelson of San Diego teed off at 10:35 a.m. Sunday. Walking onto the course at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, you didn't have to  ask for help finding Phil ... you just had to follow the crowd!

On Sunday morning, Mickelson was tied with Vermont's Keegan Bradley. But at about 11:30 a.m., Mickelson was tied with Jonathan Byrd, both at 8 under par. Just before noon, he was the only one holding the top spot.

On Sunday morning Hunter Mahan, who attended USC and was born in Orange, was tied for 20th. Laguna Niguel's Cameron Tringale was tied for 32nd place and Westlake Village golfer Charlie Wi was tied for 41st. Murrieta-born golfer Rickie Fowler was tied for 56th, as was Long Beach's John Mallinger.

Just before 11 a.m., we stood at the main entrance and people were commenting that it must be the Mickelson crowd pouring in. In fact, one fan even said they ran out of shuttles down at the VA Facility in Brentwood, where the public has been parking all week.
