Brentwood Water Polo in First CIF Poll

The first CIF Southern Section preseason sports polls of the fall season have been released and is No. 10 in the boys water polo Division 7 poll. 

The poll was voted on, coordinated and finalized by the CIF Southern Section Boys Water Polo Coaches Advisory Committee. The polls will be updated every week throughout the season.

Brentwood, coached by Bryan Weaver, opens the season September 1 at home against Beverly Hills. All CIF Southern Section finals will be played November 19 at Woollett Aquatics Center in Irvine.

Nogales tops the Division 7 preseason poll, followed by Santa Ynez, Nipomo, Ocean View, Don Lugo, Hacienda Heights Wilson, Cajon, Los Amigos, Lompoc Cabrillo and Brentwood. Making the "others" list just outside the Top 10 are Chino, Citrus Valley and Orange.

Mater Dei is rated No. 1 in Division 1; Corona Del Mar is the No. 1 team in the Division 2 poll; Laguna Beach is No. 1 in Division 3; Agoura is No. 1 in Division 4; La Serna is No. 1 in the Division 5 poll; and Beaumont is No. 1 in Division 6.
