First,,that's the best pic of the Eagle Rock I have ever seen. As to your survey...Any thiing but the gun opinions. Pure news is sterile unless people comment on it in their style. A little humor does not hurt. Nostalgic memories are my favorites. Patch is built around news items, but there is a way you can make your own news....Tell stories about yourself and work off of a news item as jogging your memory....You have a great Patch going there.

Many thanks for the spot-on insights, Robert, which remind me of the days when kids grew up seeing their parents or grandparents write letters to the editor—a section of the newspaper that often was, and in many ways still is, a better indicator of a community's pulse than the reported news.
