Preparations Begin for Marathon: Street Closings Start Over Night
The runners don't leave until later, but preparations in Brentwood have begun.
Street closures start over night (see our map for details on Bundy, Barrington and Montana closures) while other preparations have already begun for Sunday's LA Marathon. Runners will zoom west on San Vicente Boulevard in the morning.
Mile 22 (at Bundy) was getting portable restrooms Saturday afternoon while the boulevard sported new No Parking signs.
And you'd better gas up tonight, no matter the price (this is the 76 station at 26th and San Vicente) because you won't be able get gas in Brentwood tomorrow.
