A crowd of some 800 people cheered as Lady Gaga stepped on the stage in the Brentwood School gym early Saturday night for the "," chaired by Brentwood resident and journalist Maria Shriver.
The event was largely coordinated by the students of the school and was inspired by Shriver's past conferences meant to inspire young people.
