The Best of Both Worlds: Raising Children in Intercultural, Interracial, and Inter-religious Families
When people from different backgrounds have a child together, they quickly realize that the interplay of religions and/or cultures has a big impact on that child's upbringing. Using lecture, video, and hands-on exercises, this workshop instructs caregivers how to:
- Identify how racial, religious, and cultural differences within your relationship affect your children
- Help your child develop confidence with his/her own sense of identity
- Deal with family, societal pressures, and prejudices
- Negotiate and make clear decisions with respect and creativity
Open to couples of all backgrounds and lifestyles.
