Whole Foods Presents Check for Brentwood Coral Tree Fund

Store raises more than $4,000 for the community's Coral Tree Endowment Fund.

The Brentwood Coral Tree Endowment Fund received a from Whole Food's Market Thursday, related to the store's 5 percent community support day held on Jan. 30.

“Whole Foods Market is so proud to be a member of the Brentwood community," said Amy La Boube, store team leader. "It’s our honor and our pleasure to support the efforts of The Brentwood Coral Tree Endowment Fund. One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is our community outreach and giving. There are so many hardworking folks doing such good work in the neighborhood and we are thrilled to do what we can to support their efforts. The Brentwood Coral Tree Fund is doing an amazing job keeping our community beautiful and caring for these iconic trees."

Whole Foods Market Brentwood’s next 5 percent day will benefit Kenter Canyon Elementary School and will be held on May 29. Five percent of the net sales from that day will be donated to enrich the students’ curriculum.

The Brentwood Coral Tree Endowment Fund is to cover the care (trimming, tree replacement) of the San Vicente Coral Trees on the median.  The City has no budget for tree care and the community has rallied to preserve them by contributing to this Fund.
