Rosendahl Announces Speed Feedback Signs on Sunset

The councilman will turn on a sign telling drivers of the new speed indicators Thursday morning.

Los Angeles City Councilman Bill Rosendahl will be holding a press conference Thursday morning to announce the installation of two speed feedback signs by the Los Angeles Department of Transportation along Sunset Boulevard in Brentwood.

The announcement will be made at 11:30 a.m. near the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Anita Avenue.

Jody Siegler has been instrumental in advocating for the signs. Her daughter, Julia, died two years ago after being fatally struck by a car while walking to the bus along Sunset Boulevard.

According to Rosendahl's office, Siegler has also raised money for additional signs in the area.

The signs, which display the speeds of passing motorists, have a radar and a solar component.

Patch is at the press conference and will have the complete story coming up.
