There's a new smartphone app that can instantly connect you to City Hall.

MyLA311 can be downloaded at Apple Apps and Google Play stores for IPhones and Android devices.

With the new app, you can:

Find out what's happening in Brentwoodwith free, real-time updates from Patch.

  • Submit a service request for graffiti removal, pothole repair, and bulky-item pickup .
  • Map the nearest park, library, fire and police stations, golf courses, public pools, tennis courts, golf courses, parking lots, and more.
  • Keep up to date with the latest City Hall news by browsing through the Facebook, Twitter and YouTube feeds.
  • Pay your Los Angeles Water and Power bill right from your mobile device.

The MyLA311 app was unveiled Monday by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Councilman Joe Buscaino and the co-founder of Hub LA, Elizabeth Stewart.

"Angelenos now have a direct mobile portal to vital services and key city information,'' Villaraigosa said. ``This will spur a more open and transparent government. MyLA311 puts the power of City Hall in the palm of your hand.''
