Expo Line Reviews Begin in L.A., Santa Monica

City Planning and Expo Construction Authority hold April community meetings on the Exposition Corridor Transit Neighborhood Plan and Expo Phase 2 construction updates, respectively.

Westside residents will have the chance to weigh in on both the plans for mixed-used development at the stations along the Expo Light Rail corridor as well as the second phase of construction.

The Expo Line intends to link downtown Los Angeles to Santa Monica by 2030, and construction is underway to extend the rail along Olympic Boulevard into downtown Santa Monica in 2016.

A public meeting to kick off the environmental review of the five stations between Culver City and Santa Monica is tonight, April 10 at 6 p.m. in at the IMAN Cultural Center in Palms. Feedback will be taken following a presentation on the project at 6:15 p.m. There, residents can ask the Los Angeles Department of City Planning about its plan to rezone areas within a 15 minute walk of the five Expo stations.
