Northbound 405 to Close from I-10 to Olympic

A section of the 405 Freeway in the northbound direction will be closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights to prepare for construction work.

Drivers should prepare for the closure of the 405 Freeway from the I-10 connector to the Olympic Boulevard onramp for three nights starting on Friday.

The full northbound closure Friday, Saturday and Sunday will allow construction crews to prepare the roadway and get ready for additional lane and median construction, according to a Metro construction notice

Closure times are scheduled as follows:

Friday - Lane reductions at 11 p.m., full northbound closure at 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. Saturday.

Saturday - Lane reductions at 11 p.m., full northbound closure at 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. Sunday.

Sunday - Lane reductions at 11 p.m., closing at 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. Monday.

To detour from the northbound 405, drivers can exit to the westbound I-10, exit Bundy Drive North, and then go east on Santa Monica Boulevard to the northbound 405 onramp.

The northbound Olympic Boulevard onramp will be closed during the freeway closing. To take a detour from Olympic, motorists can go north on Cotner Avenue to the northbound Santa Monica Boulevard onramp.
