Police Blotter: Swastikas Spray Painted in Brentwood

Police are cautioning residents to lock their doors and windows, set alarms and to keep their property well-lit at night and during early-morning hours.

Vandalism

Swastika graffiti was spray painted on several signs and buildings on the 700 block of Gretna Green Way at 3:30 p.m. on Friday and on the 11600 block of San Vicente Boulevard at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Vehicle Theft

1.) a green 1963 Chevy Impala was stolen from the 13000 block of San Vicente Boulevard on Oct 10 at 1 p.m.

Burglary, Theft From Motor Vehicle

A car window was smashed and a woman's purse and cash were taken from the vehicle on the 12100 block of Goshen Avenue at 1 a.m. on Oct. 9.

A vehicle door was pried open and a GPS device was stolen on the 11900 block of Dorothy Street at 10 p.m. on Oct. 11.

An unlocked vehicle on the 11600 block of Goshen Avenue had tools stolen from it at about 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 13.

On Saturday at approximately 11:45 a.m., a wallet was stolen from a vehicle on the 16000 block of Mulholland Drive. The suspect smashed the vehicle window.

Burglary, Theft From Home or Business

Eye glasses were reported stolen from a home that had a door pried open on the 11700 block of Barrington Court at 1:50 a.m. on Oct. 9.

A home on the 800 block of Gretna Green Way had a window smashed and jewelry taken on Oct. 10 at 8:30 a.m.

Unknown items were taken from a home that had a window forced open on the 12000 block of Kearsarge Street at 8 a.m. on Friday.

A door was left smashed and stamps, coins and watches were taken from a home on the 400 block of N. Carmelina Avenue at 6 p.m. on Friday.

Cash was taken from a home with a smashed door on the 200 block of S. Medio Drive at 6 p.m. on Friday.

Theft

A Mezuzah was taken from doorway on the 500 block of S. Barrington Avenue at 3 p.m. on Oct. 10.

An iPad and computer were stolen from an office desk on the 11900 block of San Vicente Boulevard at 11 a.m. on Oct. 12.

Tools were taken from a storage locker on the 1100 block of Welleslay Avenue at 7 p.m. on Friday.

Laptops and a cell phone were stolen from an apartment on the 600 block of S. Barrington Avenue at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday.
