Woman Robbed at Gunpoint at Darlington and Bundy

There is no description of the suspect, according to Los Angeles police.

Robberies are on the rise in Brentwood, with one of the most recent happening to a woman talking on her cell phone on May 31.

Los Angeles Police Department Senior Lead Officer Maria Gray told the Brentwood Community Council Tuesday night a woman was at the corner of Darlington Avenue and Bundy drive at approximately 8:45 p.m. Friday, May 31 when a man approached her and showed a handgun.

"She was so scared and we did not get a suspect description," Gray told the council during her monthly report. "There's very little to go on, but a handgun was involved."

"Be aware. Cell phones are so distracting whether walking or driving" Gray added.

Gray did say crime overall in Brentwood for this time of year is town 24.38 percent compared to 2012, but warned residents to be most aware an not leave windows open for prolonged periods of time as the weather warms for summer.
