This Week's Thefts: The Weekly Crime Blotter

No major crimes were reported, but residents are urged to be aware and keep cars and homes locked.

The following crimes were reported to the Los Angeles Police Department during the week of May 6 - 13:

Burglaries or Thefts from a Motor Vehicle:

May 9 at 12:30 p.m. in the 800 block of South Bundy Drive, a window was smashed and a laptop, headphones, and glasses were taken.

May 9 at 12:05 a.m., in the 11300 block of Farlin Street, vehicle manuals were taken from an unlocked car.

May 11 at 10 a.m., in the 11900 block of Kiowa Avenue, a catalytic converter was removed from an unlocked car.

Burglaries:

May 9, at 6 p.m., in the 900 block of Bundy Drive, suspect (or suspects) entered a garage and took a bicycle.

May 11, 9 a.m., in the 1100 block of Granville Avenue, a storage unit was forced open and diving equipment taken.

May 12, 9:55 a.m., in the 11900 block of Darlington Avenue, unknown suspects pried open a rear window, activated the alarm, then fled.

THEFTS: 

Grand Theft:

May 6, at 8 p.m., in the 11800 block of Kiowa Avenue, tires and wheels were taken from an underground garage.

Petty Theft:

May 7, at 3 p.m., in the 11600 block of Montana Avenue, an iPad left on the roof of a car was taken.

May 8, at 11:30 a.m., in the 11600 block of San Vicente Bouldvard, a wallet left on a restaurant table was taken.

May 8, at 8:30 p.m., in the 1100 block of Bundy Drive, a bicycle was taken from an apartment complex.

VANDALISM:

May 6, at 4 am., in the 100 block of South Barrington Avenue, tires were slashed on a vehicle parked on the street.

May 7, at 7:45 p.m., in the 11700 block of Darlington Avenue, a vehicle window was smashed.

The LAPD asks that if you see anything you feel is suspicious, but not an emergency, that you go to  www.alertcommunity.com.  The site allows citizens to document suspicious activity  quickly, easily, and anonymously. The database is accessed only by the LAPD.
