Taggers Shoot Man Who Tries to Stop Them in East Hollywood

Four males are sought in the shooting Monday night in the 4100 block of Rosewood Avenue.

Rampart detectives are looking for four males involved in the shooting of a man Monday night who tried to stop them from tagging a fence.

According to the daily crime report provided to Patch by Rampart, the shooting happened at 11:30 p.m. in an alley behind 4106 Rosewood Ave., a multi-unit aparment complex just west of Vermont Avenue.

"The victim confronted some taggers; one of the taggers turns and shoots the victim," officer Herb Chang told City News Service.

The males then ran away.

Much of the parking for the building and the surrounding complexes is along a dead-end back alley, not easily seen from the street and not easily reached by patrol cars.

Not surprisingly, it has a lot of graffiti, on walls and dumpsters.

City News Service reports the man was taken to a hospital with an arm wound that was not life-threatening.

Yes..I agree with Don Riedel. The same hoodlums are leaving their "scents" between Sunset Blvd and Hollywood Blvd, cross street Hobart. What a shame...police are eating at Thai restaurants and are busy to catch this social parasites.

Patch continuously keeps everyone up on the REALITIES going on in our streets..Thank you. No fatalities this time..for a change.. These daily Realities are very different from the FICTIONS and MYTHS Garcetti brags constantly about at Mayoral Debates..Is he confusing us with his homeland, Encino? Or just a flat out blatant lier....He perceives himself as The Savior that has brought Hollywood back..no more drug dealers, or gang members, crime is down, he says, our streets are safe, he says, and we should all be walking them, and riding our bikes in his imagined Utopia..He spews this utter nonsense with a straight face..Facts are facts..crime is out of control. His ILLEGAL higher density Hollywood Community Plan, that he manipulated and pushed to get passed, to accommodate his wealthy developers lining his campaign pockets, who are about to transform Hollywood into an even more dangerous, BLADERUNNER city, against all recommendations, including the President of the LAFD who said it is 'dangerous' and 'irresponsible', 'people will die, we cant get to people now'(youtube, HCP Plum Meeting, 4-17-2012), and City Council's Legal Council ( now multiple lawsuits against it costing US and the city money), will make things even worse. He brags how he will do the same for the rest of L.A. God save L.A. from him. City Council shamefully never says 'NO' to Eric Garcetti . Hopefully, The People will.
