Police Blotter: Grand Theft Auto and Burglary

This week's crime roundup also includes a stolen firearm, tools and televisions.

The theft of a truck and two home burglaries topped crime in Brentwood for the week of July 2-9. All information comes from the blotter released by the Los Angeles Police Department Westside Division.

Grand Theft Auto

A red 2005 Ford F550 pickup tow truck parked on the 11900 block of Sunset Boulevard was stolen July 9. The truck was reported missing at 10 p.m.

Burglary        

A suspect smashed a window and stole cash and jewelry from a home on the 200 block of North Kenter Avenue on July 3. The theft was reported at 6 p.m.

A suspect broke into a home on the 3100 block of Mandeville Canyon Road on July 8 and stole jewelry, a firearm and televisions. The theft was reported at 2 p.m.

Theft            

A man reportedly stole a purse from the driveway of a home on the 11300 block of Homedale Street on July 6. The theft was reported at 10 p.m. The suspect is described as a white male around 25 years old. He reportedly left in a white 2010 four-door Mercedes.

Tools were taken from a construction site on the 200 block of North Cliffwood Street on July 5. The theft was reported at 3:30 p.m.

A bicycle was taken from a gated parking lot on the 400 block of South Barrington Avenue on July 5. The theft was reported at 9 a.m.

Battery

Two men pushed a victim to the ground on the 1100 block of Barrington Avenue on July 3. The incident was reported at 10:45 p.m. The suspects are described as white, about 25 years old, weighing between 180 and 225 pounds, and standing between 5 feet, 8 inches and 5 feet, 10 inches tall.
