One Person Injured in 3-Vehicle Crash

The accident occurred Tuesday on the 405 Freeway in the Sepulveda Pass, triggering a SigAlert.

A three-vehicle collision in the Sepulveda Pass Tuesday left at least one person injured.

The accident on the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway near Mulholland Drive was reported about 1:20 p.m., according to Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department. Approximately 30 firefighters responded to the scene.

Using hydraulic tools, Scott said paramedics freed a person trapped in one of the vehicles and took him or her to a UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center with minor injuries.

The wreck backed up northbound traffic through West Los Angeles.

As of 2:45 p.m., an issued SigAlert still has three lanes blocked on the 405 northbound, according to California Highway Patrol.
