UPDATE: Motorcyclist Dies in West L.A. Crash

The accident was Wednesday afternoon at Bundy Drive and Missouri Avenue.

Updated Friday, 11:30 a.m.: The motorcyclist was identified Friday as Brandon Garrett, 35, of Sherman Oaks, according to Los Angeles County coroner's Investigator Elissa Fleak.

Original: A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday afternoon in a collision in West Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.

The man, whose name is being withheld pending notification of his family, was northbound on Bundy Drive about 4:55 p.m. when he collided with a Lexus making a left turn from southbound Bundy to eastbound Missouri Avenue, according to the police.

The impact ejected the motorcyclist who landed on the roadway. The Suzuki continued moving and hit a Scion before stopping in the left turn lane of Missouri Avenue, according to the police.

Los Angeles firefighters pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.
