More Than 417,000 Homes in L.A. County Exposed to Wildfire Danger

Given last weekend's brush fires in the Sepulveda Pass and Pacific Palisades, the Insurance Information Network of California reports that about 2 million homes are at risk statewide.

More than 417,000 homes in Los Angeles County, including those in West L.A. as evidenced last weekend, are at risk of being destroyed by wildfire, according to an analysis released Wednesday by the nonprofit Insurance Information Network of California and an underwriting firm. This accounts for about 2 million homes at risk statewide.
