Firefighters Airlift Injured Mountain Biker to Safety

The Los Angeles Fire Department responds to a call reporting an injured mountain biker at Mandeville Canyon Park on Friday morning.

A 54-year-old female mountain biker was airlifted to a local hospital Friday morning after sustaining minor injuries near Mandeville Canyon Park, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Matt Spence told Patch.

The woman had been riding on the fire road at 2660 North Mandeville Canyon at approximately 11:12 a.m. when ground and air crews were dispatched to her location.

It is unclear how the woman sustained her injuries or what the extent of those injuries were.
