Driver Crashes into Pole in Brentwood

The road was closed in both directions near Oakmont Drive and the Department of Water and Power was called.

A driver crashed a car into a pole in Brentwood at 5:41 p.m., but there were no injuries, according to Katherine Main of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The collision occurred at 2056 N. Mandeville Canyon Road. The road was closed in both directions near Oakmont Drive and the Department of Water and Power was called.

According to Brentwood Patrol, the power pole snapped at the base and is being held up by the vehicle (see photo). Per DWP, additional crews are en route to shore up the pole before removing the vehicle. No injuries reported. The roads are still closed for approximately another hour. Estimated time for roads to be reopened is at 9:30 pm.
