Distraction Burglars Steal $1500 from Elderly Man

A man asked an elderly man for change and distracted him while a woman stole about $1500 Sunday.

A man and woman are still at large for a distraction burglary that resulted in about $1500 stolen Sunday.

At 1 p.m. in the 600 block of North Minnesota a man asked an elderly man to come outside his home and give him change for cash, according to Glendora Police Lieutenant James DeMond.

When the elderly man came outside he revealed where he had money in his garage. The male suspect then lured the elderly man to the side of the house while a female suspect stole the money in the garage.

The two suspects were driving a raised white truck.

@adriana Did you contact GPD about this incident?

May I please add...don't leave your infant or toddler unattended in the cart either and walk halfway across the store to get something! That drives me crazy and is inviting disaster in a myriad of ways.

@ adrianna Error on the side of caution. If this situation was upsetting and uncomfortable notify the PD now. They will not discount this as someone overreacting. I have instructed my wife to take a picture of odd people at our door because a "picture is worth a million words" these days. Lets all stay SAFE.
