UPDATE: Brush Fire Knocked Down Near Getty Center Drive Off-Ramp

Four engine companies knocked down a brush fire Monday afternoon near the I-405. No injuries were reported.

Twenty firefighters knocked down an approximately 15-foot tall, quarter-acre brush fire that ignited Monday afternoon near an off-ramp at Getty Center Drive and the I-405 Freeway southbound.

Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Eric Scott said four engine companies responded and firefighters quickly gained control of the flames and knocked it down in 25 minutes. No injuries were reported.

According to SigAlert, there were motor vehicle accidents on both sides of the I-405, blocking the center lanes and causing congestion at the time of the fire.
