Brentwood Police Blotter: Man ID'd in Purse Theft and Several Burglaries

The following information was supplied by the West L.A. Division of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Man ID'd in purse theft

On Oct. 26 at 9:45 p.m. in the 12000 block of Wilshire Boulevard, a purse was taken from a restaurant table. Police have identified the suspect as a black man with black hair, brown eyes, between 30 and 40 years old, 5'7'' and 180 pounds.

On Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. in the 16000 block of San Vicente Boulevard, a white 2011 four-door Volkswagon Jetta was stolen. 

Vehicle burglaries (some at similar times and locations)

  • On Oct. 21 at 4 p.m. in the 11600 block of Darlington Avenue, a vehicle was smashed a stage make-up was removed.
  • On Oct. 21 at 6:15 p.m. in the 11700 block of Darlington Avenue, a vehicle was smashed and watches and purses were taken.
  • On Oct. 24 at 8 p.m. in the 600 block of South Barrington Avenue, a vehicle was smashed and a laptop was taken.
  • On Oct. 25 at 10 p.m. in the 300 block of North Cliffwood Avenue, a vehicle was smashed and a backpack and computer were taken.
  • On Oct. 25 at 9 p.m. in the 1400 block of Monaco Drive, iPods were taken from an unlocked vehicle.
  • On Oct. 25 at 10 p.m. in the 1000 block of Amalfi Drive, a vehicle was smashed and an iPod and sunglasses were taken.

Smashed window, unknown items taken

On Oct. 26 at 12 p.m. in the 900 block of South Bundy Drive, suspects smashed a window and entered a location. Police say it's unknown if anything was taken.

Stolen necklace

On Oct. 23 at 11 p.m. in the 800 block of Gretna Green Way, a necklace was taken from a residence.

Vandalism

On Oct. 25 at 9 a.m. in the 600 block of South Burlingame Avenue, unknown suspects smashed the rear window of a residence.
