Crime in the area dropped per the latest LAPD stats after an incident-filled report last week.

Was it the rain?

Were criminals plum tuckered out after last week's burglary/theft from auto crime spree?

Or were an anomaly?

I e-mailed to ask Senior Lead Officer if there was any particular reason for the decrease. "None," he replied. "Sometimes [crime] just moves on. ..."

Enbody later addressed Tuesday night's Brentwood Community Council meeting and reminded attendees never to leave anything in their cars [see video.]
