Brentwood Boys Basketball Wins Again. Advances to CIF Finals!!

The Brentwood Boys Basketball Squad continued their incredible and magical season Friday night, Feb 22. with a 54-46 victory over St. Joseph in a CIF Divison 4A Semifinal contest. The team traveled almost 3 hours by bus to take on their opponents from Santa Maria.

The team is now 27-3 on the season and takes on Pacific Hills in the Championship Game to take place at the Anaheim Arena.  The date of the game has not yet been announced. Pacific Hills advanced to the finals with a thrilling 52-51 victory over Cantwell-Sacred Heart with two free throws with 1.9 seconds remaining.

Brentwood jumped to a 12 point halftime lead over St. Joseph, only allowing 4 points in the second quarter.  But St. Joseph fought back to take a 43-42 lead with 3 minutes remaining. At that point, superstar Brentwood point guard Tra Holder took over, scoring 6 of his team's last 11 points.  Senior  forward Leland King contributed 13 points for the Eagles of Brentwood and Yonathan Napoleon chipped in with 12. Brentwood and Pacific Hills have played twice this season, splitting the two games. Both schools are ranked in the top 10 in the Southland.

Pacific Hills features three star players, two of whom have already received offers from top Division IA programs, including the University of Arizona.
