Treatment Options for Migraines and Headaches: A Talk between East and West

If you suffer from migraine headaches, you are not alone- an estimated 30 million people across the United States experience chronic migraines. Migraines, a type of headache, are often so debilitating that patients seek immediate medical attention from a doctor, or in some cases even a visit to the emergency room. When migraine symptoms strike you may find it increasingly difficult to function, leaving you feeling isolated and discouraged.

Join Pain Management and Injury Relief Medical Center’s Neurologist, Dr. Mahyar Okhovat, M.D. and Tao of Wellness’ licensed acupuncturist, Dr. Mao Shing Ni, D.O.M, Ph.D., L.Ac, to learn about the causes and triggers of migraines along with other types of headaches. Dr. Okhovat and Dr. Mao will be examining both conventional and alternative therapy treatment options in addition to lifestyle adaptations that help target the pain and promote long-lasting pain relief.

The event will be held on Monday, January 11, 2013 from 7:00 pm -8:30 pm at the Santa Monica Public Library, Martin Luther King Jr. Auditorium (601 Santa Monica Boulevard, Santa Monica, CA).
