NEW SCREENWRITING COURSES START JAN 12TH! CONCEPT WORKSHOP @ 10am FIRST DRAFT LAB @ 1pm

There are many screenwriting courses in Los Angeles. These are different.

I'm Adam Levenberg. I've run development for production companies and now I consult as a screenplay and book reader with top producers and actors.

Starting Saturday January 12th, I will be hosting two screenwriting classes at The Director's Playhouse. Each class runs six Saturdays and provides individual attention and group feedback for screenwriters who are learning the craft and trying to break into the industry.

$299 for six weeks.  Register now.

10am CONCEPT WORKSHOP We'll be pitching concepts and advancing them each week, developing a 15 point structure into a 40 scene overview. We'll also be evaluating current Hollywood trends, analyzing fresh screenplays that have recently sold, examining the genre you're jumping into, and breaking down movie sequences. In six weeks, if you put the work in, you'll be ready to start on your first draft!1pm FIRST DRAFT LAB

Continuing students and those who have taken advanced courses will deliver a full 1st draft. We'll read and workshop scenes, review the progress you're making each week, and contribute feedback to each writer in the class. We'll also do many of the same activities as listed above because analyzing current films and covering trends isn't something you do for a few weeks and "learn". If you want to be a professional, you'll be doing this your entire career. Screenplay and scene selections will be selected based on what types of projects class members are currently writing.

THE STARTER SCREENPLAY covers everything I learned as an executive that is relevant to new and unrepresented screenwriters. I couldn't find this information in existing books, so I wrote my own! My courses at The Director's Playhouse take the information in this book to the next level.
THE STARTER SCREENPLAY is available in print and for Kindle through Amazon.com.  You can also pick up your copy at The Director's Playhouse.
