Caroline Clarke discusses and signs "Postcards from Cookie"
Raised during an era when adoptions were a shameful and secret business, Caroline Clark only later in life learned that her mother was none other than Carol "Cookie" Cole, daughter of Nat King Cole. Through postcards they developed a relationship that defied the distance between them and the constraints of a postcard format. In those 3-inch squares, all the more poignant for their brevity, they shared secrets, took risks, and built a bond like no other.
