Caroline Campion and Kathy Brennan discuss "Keepers" at Diesel Bookstore

Diesel, A Bookstore in Brentwood welcomes authors and cooks Caroline Campion andKathy Brennan to the store to discuss and sign their new book, Keepers: Two Home Cooks Share Their Tried-and-True Weeknight Recipes and the Secret to Happiness in the Kitchen, on Wednesday, September 25th at 7pm.

At first glance, Keepers is a great cookbook perfectly geared for anyone looking for ways to not only cook more, but cook better, whether it's the parent presiding over a gaggle of kids or teenagers, the young couple tired of jarred pasta sauce, or the single with a brand new, imposingly empty kitchen. It's chock full of delicious, easy-to-make, recipes, from pasta to huevos rancheros, roasted chicken to turkey burgers, dishes that reheat well, dishes that can be whipped up quickly, dishes that are perfect for storing for later. But Keepers is a lot more than that. It's moral support for the beleaguered cook, a no-guilt approach that doesn't demand you cook every night, but encourages you to cook more than you already do. It provides strategies to help plan your daily cooking and tips on how to shop and how to organize. Keepers "gives cooks all of the tools they need to become more efficient, confident, and creative in the kitchen. It will help them survive the Monday-to-Friday dinner rush with their sanity and kitchens intact, and also have some fun along the way."
