Weekend Planner: What's on in Brentwood

Lobby Hero

Where/When: The Skirball Cultural Center, 2701 N. Sepulveda Blvd.; Friday, 8 p.m.

Why go: Featuring Tate Donovan (Damages) and Dulé Hill (The West Wing), Lobby Hero is the story of Jeff, a Manhattan security guard who falls in love with Dawn, a cop who has a crush on her partner, Bill. However, Bill may be hiding secrets of his own. As a murky murder investigation unfolds, Jeff must decide between doing the right thing for the wrong reasons or the wrong thing for the right reasons.

Dengue Fever

Where/When: The Getty Center, 1200 Getty Center Dr.; Saturday, 6 p.m.-9 p.m.

Why go: Dengue Fever, a band whose exotic blend combines psychedelic rock with Cambodian pop, returns to the Getty with songs from its latest  album, Cannibal Courtship. The band sings songs in English and Khmer, the language of the Cambodian people. Also performing: DJ Mahssa.

Pony Rides and a Petting Zoo

Where/When: Brentwood Country Mart, 225 26th St.; Sunday, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Why go: Let your children experience the magic of a petting zoo and pony rides in the middle of the Brentwood Country Mart.

Where/When: , 1200 Getty Center Dr. Museum Galleries: 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays
