Uncle Sam Has SoCal Tsunami Advice for You

Sometimes an awesome wave is too big to surf.

Let's be clear. Brentwood has nothing to fear from a tsunami,

There is an entire city between Brentwood and the sea; we call it Santa Monica.

Brentwood also has an average elevation of 915.46 feet above sea level, which means even giant waves like the ones that recently devasted Japan will have a hard time getting past the Palisades.

But area topographic averages won't help if you're on a local beach or close to the Pacific when the big waves come. The Marina, Venice, Santa Monica and Malibu are all potential danger zones.

Do you know what to do if you feel an earthquake when you're at the beach?

Forewarned is forearmed and the United States Geological Service wants you to be prepared. So does

You've got video!

Also: Don't stress about radiation coming from Japan.
