Top 5 Westside Stories: DUI Arrests, Art Theft Update, Justin Bieber

  Close out your weekend with a recap of the newsiest and most popular Patch articles from last week. Here are the five stories that topped the headlines on Westside Patch sites:

• Over the holidays, more than of drugs or alcohol in L.A. County. There were 72 driver's license and DUI checkpoints around the county between Dec. 14 and Jan. 1. The next big weekend of DUI enforcement will be Super Bowl weekend.

• Police have arrested and charged another man with the June 2012 murder of Venice youth pastor Oscar Duncan. Hopeton Parsley, 23, was first arrested the night after the murder but was released. After an investigation that brought up new evidence, police arrested him again Wednesday. Two other people have been charged in the murder.

• Six people have pleaded not guilty to stealing art valued at more than $3.2 million from a Santa Monica home, and attempting to conceal and sell it. Some of the pieces were rare, including a Piet Mondrian painting, "Composition (A) en Rouge et Blanc;" others were by Jasper Johns, Philip Guston and Richard Diebenkorn. Most of the art was recovered by the police in September from a Pasadena automotive supply store managed by one of the accused.

• Justin Bieber offered his sympathies of the family of a paparazzo who was struck and killed by a car after photographing Bieber at a traffic stop near the Getty Center.
