Summer Reading Club and a Networking Opportunity

1. The Donald Bruce Kaufman-Brentwood Branch Library will host a puppet show, "Cool Green Frogs." The program, which is part of the library's Summer Reading Club, will also include stories, songs and crafts. The puppet show begins at 3:30 p.m. The library is at 11820 San Vicente Blvd.

2. The West Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce will hold a networking lunch at Crossroads BBQ Restaurant. Your RSVP is required as the event will be limited to 6-8 people. 3. Learn more about the reunited paintings Before the Ball and After the Ball by Jean-François de Troy in a 15-minute talk at the Getty Museum. The talk is part of the museum's Morning Masterpiece series and begins at 10:30 a.m. The Getty is at 1200 Getty Center Drive.

4. The Mulholland Bridge will be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. every night through Thursday. The Skirball Bridge will also be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Thursday. Construction workers will build a deck panel on the Skirball Bridge. Lanes for both bridges within the closure limits will begin to shut down as early as 7 p.m.
