The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose on Sunday for the third consecutive day after a 57-day streak of decreases, increasing 1.2 cents to $3.726.
The average price fell to its lowest amount since Jan. 4 on Thursday, then rose six-tenths of a cent on Friday and 1.6 cents on Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The three consecutive increases have pushed the average price 1.6 cents above what it was one week ago. However, it is 30.5 cents less than one month ago and 8 cents lower than one year ago.
