Five Things You Need to Know: June 7

Take a hike with the Temescal Canyon Association, learn about Paris life and join a book club.

1. The Temescal Canyon Association will host a series of Tuesday Evening Hikes. This week’s hike will seek out Castellammare’s well-hidden stairways. Take the trail from Temescal Gateway Park to Rivas Canyon. Meet at 6 p.m. at the Temescal Gate parking lot. For more information, visit www.temcanyon.org.

2. Join a museum curator for a special one-hour overview of the Getty Center’s exhibition Paris: Life and Luxury. The talk begins at 1:30 p.m. daily through July 15. Meet the educator at the museum front desk. The Getty Center is at 1200 Getty Center Dr.

3. The Donald Bruce Kaufman-Brentwood Branch Library hosts an afternoon book club at 1 p.m. The library is at 11820 San Vicente Blvd.

4. The Brentwood Community Council has a meeting at 7 p.m. at the Donald Bruce Kaufman-Brentwood Branch Library at 11820 San Vicente Blvd.
