Five Things You Need to Know

Today you can sketch at the Getty, listen to musician Willie Aron, or register for youth basketball.

1. The Getty Center offers a sketching gallery for would-be artists to sketch paintings by the masters. The gallery features six original oil paintings from the Museum’s collection, including Adriaen de Vries' dynamic Juggling Man. Anyone can drop by the sketching gallery whenever the museum is open. The gallery is located in the East Pavilion, second floor. The Getty is at 1200 Getty Center Dr. Visit http://www.getty.edu/visit/hours/index.html for museum operating hours.

2. Giggles and Hugs will feature new musician Willie Aron tonight. Aron writes children’s songs and is the father of twins. The event starts at 5:30 p.m. Giggles and Hugs is at 10250 Santa Monica Blvd
