Construction Traffic and a Tuesday Evening Hike

A stretch of Sepulveda Boulevard will be reduced to one lane tonight and the Temescal Canyon Association will host a Tuesday Evening hike.

Here are five things to know for June 28:

1. Sepulveda Boulevard will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Mountaingate Drive and the area slightly beyond Skirball Center Drive from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. The closure is part of the 405 Freeway/Sepulveda Boulevard expansion project.

2. The Temescal Canyon Association will host a series of Tuesday Evening Hikes. This week, the group will start at the top of Mandeville Canyon Road, take the Hollyhock Trail up to the 1950s Nike missile site on San Vicente Peak and then return down the Garden Land Trail to Mandeville. To connect with the group, take the trail from Temescal Gateway Park to Rivas Canyon. Meet at 6 p.m. at the Temescal Gate parking lot. For more information, visit www.temcanyon.org.
